Professor Pelling, a Canada Research Chair and assistant professor in the Departments of Physics and Biology at the University of Ottawa, has a very unique lab. His lab boasts a mix of biologists, physicists, chemists and engineers who are trying to create designer organs to be used as tools as opposed to transplantable objects.
